What a great day for running it was in Austin! It was sooo much fun to put the past 12 weeks of training to the test! Here is a 'run'-down of our day - We left the house Sunday morning at 4:30am and arrived in Austin after 6:00am. I got my gear together (below) and headed over to the race while Kim & the kids parked the car and head to the finish line. Sadly, they didn't see me finish amongst the 8,400+ other runners and we met up hours later at a hotel. We then packed up and made for home. We all took naps and boy did I crash - it felt great!
I had set the goal of 1:45:00 but was very happy with my time. I ran hard and finished very strong, sprinting and passing a lot of people in the last .25 mile. Can't wait till next month!!! We will be heading to Houston for the Seabrook Lucky Trail Marathon and half Marathon. I will be running my second half then with a 1:40:00 goal - I was told Austin is much harder due to the hills and that I should have a better time at Seabrook. So, I am looking forward to it!
Results: My 1st half Marathon
- Time: 1:52:45
- Pace: 8:35
- Overall Rank: 1238 / 8482

What a great accomplishment! I am so proud of your commitment and devotion to fitness. You did super. Loved your pictures. Keep up the good work. Love, Moma
Way to go, Bryce! This being your first marathon, (or second, if you count the one in Utah), you made an impressive entry coming in with the first eighth of the total group. Guess the new wristband you got for Christmas is working. We will look forward to attending in June when you are running in Utah.
The kids look, great! I'm sure it was fun for them, also.
woot! woot! go Bryce!
Congrats-how awesome!
